Feeding at the Trough

The political process is inherently unseemly. As a consequence, reading the details of how the stimulus package is divvied up can be a little upsetting to purists such as myself. Should New York benefit disproportionately just because we're represented in Congress by pushy hard-hitters with seniority like Charles Rangel and Chuck Schumer? Of course not.

On the other hand, New York has been screwed by the Federal government for decades by pushy hard-hitting southerners with seniority who used our tax dollars to build countless roads to nowhere, so I'm not going to lose a lot of sleep over this.
